Is this in-person or online?
Everything from the training, assessments, video analysis, feedback calls and programming is completed and followed online.
To make real progress from strength and conditioning as a youth footballer there needs to be mutliple sessions per week and ongoing tracking and support. This is where an in-person approach becomes financially and logistically impossible for many football families and often results in parents spending thousands in coaching fees with little progress to show for it.
PRO Football Athlete solves that problem, providing a superior and more convenient training solution which is more cost effective and can be followed from home with a basic range of equipment by youth footballers worldwide.
Is PRO Football Athlete suitable for beginners?
Absolutely.
Whether your child is completely new to strength and conditioning or already has training experience, we'll tailor our process to their needs.
Every exercise is demonstrated step-by-step, allowing players to build confidence while progressing safely at their own pace.
What age is the programme suitable for?
PRO Football Athlete is designed for footballers aged 9 years and above, across all positions.
Does my child need a gym membership?
No.
The entire programme is designed so that it can be completed in a small space from home using minimal equipment. You will need a local park or pitch for the pitch sessions.
Some families choose to train in a gym, but it certainly isn't necessary to achieve excellent results.
How much training is involved?
There are normally 3 x 40-minute main workouts to complete per week, alongside their normal football training and matches.
There are also optional pre-match, pitch and recovery routines too.
We tailor everything to fit around school, football and family life.
Will this interfere with my child's club training?
Not at all.
PRO Football Athlete has been designed to complement football training, not replace it.
We'll tailor all of the training around their specific schedule.
What equipment do we need?
The first 1-2 months will be bodyweight only for beginners, so there's no obstacles to getting started.
Throughout the process the following will be required: a set of resistance bands, a range of kettlebells or dumbbells, a swiss ball, a light medicine ball, a step or box.
We can provide an Amazon shopping list if you wish to buy any of these pieces.
Can goalkeepers use the programme?
Yes.
We provide programming for all playing positions, including goalkeepers.
Can girls join the programme?
Absolutely.
The programme is suitable for both boys and girls aged 9+ who want to develop the physical qualities required for higher level football.
Is strength training safe for children?
When appropriately designed and guided, strength and conditioning is recognised as both safe and beneficial for young athletes.
We prioritise movement quality, technique and progressive development, ensuring players build strong foundations before progressing to more advanced exercises.
What support is included?
If you or your child have questions during the programme, you can contact our coaching team directly through the in-app Messenger. We'll also have regular 1-1 calls too.
Whether it's an exercise query, training advice or general guidance, we're here to help.
